Rape Gang Enquiry Vote - Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse (IICSA)
The IICSA was a comprehensive public inquiry into how institutions in England and Wales handled their responsibilities to protect children from sexual abuse. Over seven years, it engaged with more than 7,000 victims and survivors, processed over two million pages of evidence, and published numerous reports. The final report, released in October 2022, set out the main findings about institutional failures and made several recommendations for reform, including the introduction of mandatory reporting and the establishment of a national redress scheme for victims
